So I have been posting in a professional capacity for a while now, and I thought I'd give a personal blog a try. Not that I think that what I have to say is all that important, but I believe that you get back what you put out there. If my experiences and ideas can make just one person crack a slight smile, I'd be happy. Plus, I really do love creating content, in all forms.
Guess I should make my welcome post about what to expect on this adventure, we'll laugh, we'll cry, we'll roll our eyes, and we'll say to ourselves "what is happening why am I reading this?". Let's start with the title. Diapers & Dog Food. What the H does that mean? A while ago, I found myself running to the store every other day, and the constants on my shopping list were diapers and dog food. Basically, my daughter poops a lot, and my dogs eat a lot. No matter how hard I tried, I was always running out of diapers and dog food. And I was saying, "be right back, running to the store for diapers and dog food" all the time. It occurred to me that I found a great deal of comfort in this. Despite the other crazy things I needed to get, or get done, I always had my little girl, and my dogs, and my wonderful husband to take care of. And despite the every day changes and struggles, something as simple as changing a diaper and being able to look into my LO's eyes, and tickle her belly, or filling up a dog food bowl and hearing the excited scamper of 8 paws running towards me, can bring great joy to my life.
So the diapers have come and gone, thankfully, though if I'm lucky there will be more in the future. And the scamper of paws is a little slower but no less excited, and I'm left with an abundance of thoughts and ideas. Some lessons learned the hard way, some ideas discovered completely accidentally, but I do possess a genuine desire to create and share every day. So let's give this blog thing a try eh?
